Lee Garb's poetry has several common themes which reflect the emotional, physical, aesthetic, and intellectual influences on her life and experiences. Among these are: nature, love (especially the unrequited kind), parenthood, cats, and spirituality. The following biography is offered as an insight into what those influences were, where they came from, and how she responded to them. Her history is in parts sad and depressing, in parts joyous and uplifting. While her life was short, her final years brought her great pleasure, wonderful friendship and community, and professional stature.
