Three large pancakes... such a little boy,
    Yet, when he's only scarce begun, he asks,
"Mama, when I'm all done (with these)
    Can I have a... 'nother one?"

Such a little boy... with such big eyes,
    With a mama who is oh, so wise, who thinks,
"If he puts them away, a miracle I've seen today!"

Turning, then, from the room to go,
    Pots, pans all cleaned and put away ...
(How he does it, I'll never know!)
    For with the banging of silver I hear him say,

"OK... Mama, I'm all done.
    Did you make me the... 'nother one?"
